Choosing the right rug

Area Rug Size Guide:

Living Room:

  • Small Rug (5x8 feet): Best for small spaces or under coffee tables. Front legs of furniture on the rug, back legs off.
  • Medium Rug (8x10 feet): Fits under the front legs of all seating in a standard living room.
  • Large Rug (9x12 feet or larger): Entire furniture arrangement sits on the rug, great for larger living rooms.

Dining Room:

  • 8x10 feet Rug: Ideal for a standard 6-person dining table. The rug should extend beyond the chairs when pulled out.
